Kimby survived a massive heart attack at the age of 38 and has been living with heart disease for 5 years.

Introduction

Kimby received 2 undergraduate degrees from Auburn University in Pre-Med Biomedical Sciences and Zoology, and she received her master’s degree from University of Florida in Forensic DNA & Serology.  She considers herself a science nerd.  In her free time, Kimby spends time with her dogs, Kenobi and Mace Windu, enjoys volunteering with the American Heart Association, and loves traveling overseas. Her most recent trip was to South Africa and Namibia. 

History with the condition 

After surving a heart attack at the age of 38, Kimby is now an active health advocate in her community and hopes to inspire others to live a heart healthy life.  She hopes her blog will give insight to others as to what it’s like to live with heart disease at such a young age.
